Ilene Ladd

Ilene Ladd has worked at Geisinger for 11 years as a Project Manager. She has served as PM for several national multi-site studies. Ilene is particularly invested in this project as her father, grandfather, grandmother and great grandfather all suffered from dementia.

Clinical Research Coordinator

Pam Borek, MSN, RN-BC, ACRP-CP

Pamela Borek, MSN, RN-BC, ACRP-CP earned her BSN from Misericordia University in Dallas, PA and her MSN in Clinical Research at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Certified in both nursing and clinical research, she brings over 20 years of nursing and research experience to her role as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Geisinger. Among her primary clinical interests is the field of gerontology and so Pamela is very excited to be a part of the D-Care study!

Nick Delmar

Nicholas Delmar graduated from Misericordia University with a degree in Health Science. Since joining Geisinger in June of 2019 he has been working on the Dementia Care study and is excited to support this project as it continues.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT

Joshua Dopko

Joshua Dopko graduated from Penn State University with a BA in History in 2017. Joshua joined Geisinger in 2017 as a Precision Health Associate for the MyCode Project, one of the largest genomic studies in the country. In February of 2020 Joshua joined the DCare study as an RA. Josh looks forward to growing more in the research field, and helping to support all aspects of the DCare study.

Holly Drutarovsky, PA-C

Holly Drutarovsky is a neurology physician assistant at Geisinger's Memory and Cognition Center as well as in general neurology in the hospital and outpatient clinic. She graduated from Marywood University with a masters degree in physician assistant studies, and holds an undergraduate degree in neuroscience with a minor in psychology from Temple University's Honors Program. She is looking forward to being a dementia case specialist for the D-Care study.

alyssa gurzynski, pa-c

Alyssa Gurzynski is a PA-C who graduated from King’s College in 2019 with a masters degree in physician assistant studies, undergraduate degree in medical studies and minors in biology, and neuroscience. She works as a general neurology PA at Geisinger, with sub specialties in memory and cognition and movement disorders. She is now involved with the D-Care study as a dementia care specialist and enjoys providing care and support for her patients and their families.

Care Consultant

Kristen Shipsky, MSW, CDP

Kristen L. Shipsky, MSW, CDP is a certified dementia practitioner. Kristen has worked in long term care first as a Social Service Director and later as a social worker on a dementia care unit. Kristen currently works for the Alzheimer’s Association as the Constituent Services Coordinator for the Greater PA Chapter, Northeast Office.
